There are a few ways to increase patient compliance when assessing remotely. Of course, a foolpoof way to ensure your patient completes the assessment is to have them come into your office space to be assessed. This, however, is not always possible and so the flexibility of remote assessment is valuable.
To see higher assessment completion rates, we recommend explaining the assessment to the patient before sending it to them. This will help them to see the value of measuring their cognition, and why this data is vital to their clinical journey with you. Some useful talking points can be found in the Preparing Patients Guide.
A few other tips to increasing compliance include:
🧠A custom email from you sent to the patient upon receiving the assessment. Consider creating a template that is personalized to you and your practice to save you some time!
🧠Turning on email reminders for patients. Patients can be reminded automatically to complete their assessment every 24 hours, 48 hours and 7 days.
🧠Shortening the selection of tasks you are administering to them (perhaps breaking the 12 tasks into two 20 minute sessions).
